After years of resisting and denying the spooky fun.. I gave in. Well, it was actually my idea! What was I thinking? I don't know. I tried to cancel at the last minute, but that would have been rude. So off we went to Haunted Hollow. "Where you're stuck in 13 acres of the most menacing, horrifying and ghastly haunted hollow in Utah. Hiding behind every tree and lurking around every corner are the demons, ghosts and ghouls that only existed in your worst nightmares: until now. Every step counts, because you don't know if it will be your last." Muaaaahhhh!

I will admit, I did scream a lot. But when it was all said and done, it was scary fun.

Hiatus

I know, I know. I have disappeared. I have been on a blog hiatus, if you will. You know when a million things have gone on in the last three months.. but then you can't think of one thing to blog about?

I love this time of year. Makes me want to cozy up to the fire place with some hot cocoa, and watch a movie... like Sleepless in Seattle. I love Seattle. (sigh)
Happy Autumn!

Hitting the books.

I am finally biting the bullet and going back to school! I have never finished my degree.. EVER! I went to school for a total of almost 4 years in three different colleges and universities since 1998 and am barely a sophomore. I never went to school full time, as you can see.. and have changed my major three times. So after two years of absence (from the University of Utah), I decided to get this over and done with. I will be attending the University of Phoenix Online (yes, a 4th college in eleven years) this coming October! I will be majoring (this time for sure) in Psychology, with an emphasis in children. I will be graduating with a Bachelors degree beginning of 2012. Hopefully sooner, depending if I take extra classes and test out of Spanish. Which will count for a good chunk of electives.
YaY for me!

Aloha!

Aloha!

We did it again! The aloha spirit was calling our names.. and we couldn't say no! We had a lot of fun on the North Shore of Oahu. Snorkled like fish and with fish, were blasted by the sun, ate good food and enjoyed the polynesian dancers. A lot of funness and goodness. We stayed for 10 days at the Turtle Bay Resort and loved loved loved it. Buckle your seat belts, because there are a lot of pictures to see.

Mahalo
!

Yes, these are sharks. Jimmy's idea.

I almost lost it on this boat and in the water. I never get sea sick.. first time.

I love sea turtles! On this beach there were like 20 plus right on the shore, and one or two come up to the beach and rest for a while. They are huge!

Matsumoto's shaved ice. Not only do they add ice cream at the bottom of the flavored shaved ice, but they also add condensed milk right on top. You don't even KNOW how good this is!

Sorry about the gum. Silly Jimster

This is as close as I got to Jack Johnson. We looked up local gigs to see if he was having a concert.. but no luck. Next time.

A LOT of people wait in line to have the famous shaved ice. It is like this from open to close, every day.

This is Crush. I named him myself.

There are a million blue buses on the North Shore that serve some GOOD shrimp. It is the best thing I have tasted. The garlic shrimp is my favorite. We loved it.

This one is not a blue bus, but a blue shack. .. as you can see.
But they had the same thing.

Laie Temple. Under renovation when we were there. We did go in the visitor center and enjoyed the spirit.

I was at Waimea beach, basking in the sun.. when I turned around, I saw this pretty rainbow.

This sign was at the entrance to this waterfall.

Waimea Village.

Turtle Bay. It is completely surrounded by the ocean. http://www.turtlebayresort.com/

We went to the Polynesian Cultural Center and loved every minute! Here's Jimmy enjoying a pineapple smoothie. It was unbelievably good.

Hang loose!

The Samoan chief.. he is FUNNY.

Lounge area at Turtle Bay.

Haleiwa Joes. Good sea food. We ate there three times.. maybe four.

On our way to Oahu. After six hours and three movies.. we got there safe and sound.

Sunday afternoon. After two hours of trying to have a successful sharing time and lesson with our thirteen 7 year old CTR kiddos whose middle names should be "ADD "... and before a long picnic activity at the park with friends and our two rambunctious dogs. We, or should I say.. I was trying to take a nap to survive the rest of the day, when the Jimmster comes into bed, interrupts my early stages of REM and starts playing with his new love. MAC. Otherwise known as Apple MacBook Pro, 15 inch. quoting jimmy. After the photo shoot, courtesy of Jimmy Boy and Mac, I managed to sleep for a much needed hour. smile. sigh. Photos of our adorable CTR class will be posted shortly. Meanwhile. Sit back.. relax, and enjoy the ride. giggles.

Immunotherapy. Not so bad. Twice a week. One shot on each arm. Making it FOUR injections a week. A little poke.. and done. I wait for 17 minutes with a sweet lime green Xyzal count down timer, and go home. No sweat. I also have been prescribed a two-in-one auto Epinephrine injector.. otherwise known as an Epi Pen. http://www.twinject.com/ I may not ever need to use it, but people have had severe allergic reactions to the injections before. I have to make sure I relax and sit for the 17 minutes after the injections. And not ever, EVER take a flu shot and the allergy shots on the same week.
I never thought I would need one, needless to say own one. But they ARE injecting everything that I am allergic to into my body.

Correction! My dad and my uncle just corrected me on when my grandfather immigrated to Argentina. Which was not after the second World War. Oops It was in 1925. And he made sure i added what town i was born in. Sorocaba is a suburb of Sao Paulo, two hours west. Oh, and the last picture was actually in Buenos Aires! hehe
I apologize to any family members for the tiny "typeos".
